Videas, audias, socius.

This blog was originally called “Simply Sharing with Lou.” It came about as an exploration into the Tumblr feature set for my book Editing, Storing, and Sharing your Digital Photographs, part of the “In Simple Steps” series published by Pearson Education.

I thought it was important to write about photo blogging as a way of sharing photos, and got hooked on Tumblr’s ease of use and social networking features.

As this blog has evolved, I’ve posted very few of my own photos in this blog. What I’ve done instead is to find ways of connecting different ideas and visions.

A friend of mine once referred to me as “a repository of arcane knowledge,” and I realized that my Tumblog had become that, hence the name change. “Videas, audias, socius” is a riff on Julius Caesar’s old line (47 BC). Mine means seeing, hearing, and sharing.
